چکیده

The ordered states of a planar antiferromagnet with a triangular lattice are investigated in the presence of a magnetic field. The spin wave free energy is taken into account and proves to be important for determining the properties of the system. The phase diagram is constructed. It contains four different phases with rigorous long-range order. Three of them are characterised by different configurations of mean magnetic moments for the three sublattices. The existence of one more non-trivial phase with an algebraic decay of the correlation functions is very probable.

Spin-current order in anisotropic triangular antiferromagnets.

We analyze instabilities of the collinear up-up-down state of a two-dimensional quantum spin-S spatially anisotropic triangular lattice antiferromagnet in a magnetic field. We find, within the large-S approximation, that near the end point of the plateau, the collinear state becomes unstable due to the condensation of two-magnon bound pairs rather than single magnons. The two-magnon instability...

1 4 Ju n 20 05 1 High field properties of geometrically frustrated magnets

Above the saturation field, geometrically frustrated quantum antiferromagnets have dispersionless low-energy branches of excitations corresponding to localized spin-flip modes. Transition into a partially magnetized state occurs via condensation of an infinite number of degrees of freedom. The ground state below the phase transition is a magnon crystal, which breaks only translational symmetry ...

Spin-wave interactions in quantum antiferromagnets

– We study spin-wave interactions in quantum antiferromagnets by expressing the usual magnon annihilation and creation operators in terms of Hermitian field operators representing transverse staggered and ferromagnetic spin fluctuations. In this parameterization, which was anticipated by Anderson in 1952, the two-body interaction vertex between staggered spin fluctuations vanishes at long wavel...

Theory of Raman scattering in one-dimensional quantum spin-1/2 antiferromagnets.

We study theoretically the Raman-scattering spectra in the one-dimensional (1D) quantum spin-1/2 antiferromagnets. The analysis reveals that their low-energy dynamics is exquisitely sensitive to various perturbations to the Heisenberg chain with nearest-neighbor exchange interactions, such as magnetic anisotropy, longer-range exchange interactions, and bond dimerization. These weak interactions...
